Game 2 world series
The Dodgers hope to get similar length from Game 2 starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto that they got from Jack Flaherty, who pitched into the sixth in the opener. There’s an off-day after Game 2, but with a bullpen day looming in the middle of the Series, the Dodgers don’t want to overexpose their relievers.
Phillips threw 18 pitches in a scoreless sixth inning of a 10-5 NLCS-clinching Game 6 win over the New York Mets. Manager Dave Roberts planned to have Phillips pitch the seventh inning of the bullpen game, but when Phillips complained of arm fatigue, Roberts pivoted and sent Daniel Hudson out for the seventh.

Gary D: “The Dodgers have a top four that you can’t pitch around. And they have a long lineup, too. Their relief staff is deep enough so that if one pitcher isn’t having a good night they can bring in four or five other good pitchers. So if their starters pitch well, as they’ve done so far, it’s really tough to beat them. Maybe one or two games, sure, but four is just not too likely.”
The presumptive American League MVP went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts Saturday. He’s 1-for-9 with six strikeouts in the World Series, and 6-for-40 (.150) with 19 strikeouts in the postseason. The Yankees have advanced this far without Judge supplying anything close to the production he provided during the regular season. The Yankees don’t necessarily need that version of Judge to resurface to win the World Series. But they will not beat the Dodgers four times in five games if Judge isn’t substantially better. Giancarlo Stanton belted a huge home run in Game 1. Juan Soto delivered the Yankees’ first two hits, including a home run, in Game 2. Judge, the third member of the Yankees’ slugging trio, needs to contribute in New York. — Jorge Castillo
What is the best game in the world
The game’s popularity has inspired several transmedia creations, from spin-off games like Legends of Runeterra to companion books that expand its universe — the most notable being Netflix’s Arcane, an artistic feat and the most expensive animated series in history. Fifteen years later, League‘s appeal remains unshattered, its rich universe tempting you to keep on pushing after losing just to spend more time in it. -Diego Argüello
Although the closest Sega’s Dreamcast ever came to commercial success was its sponsorship of Arsène Wenger’s swaggering Arsenal side, the inimitable console was home to a ragtag gang of bona fide classics. Chief amongst them was Rez, a musical rail shooter that was as trippy as it was dizzyingly inventive.
If Grand Theft Auto V is anything it’s a game of immense, obsessive detail. There is no open world that feels as authentic and lived-in as Grand Theft Auto V’s Los Santos and its surrounding countryside. Turn it on and pick a street. Analyse it. Look at the unique shopfronts that aren’t repeated anywhere else. Look at the asphalt, worn and cracked; punished by the millions of cars that have hypothetically passed over it. Look at the litter, the graffiti. Grand Theft Auto V’s mad mix of high-speed chases, cinematic shootouts, and hectic heists may be outrageous at times, but the environment it unfolds within is just so real. A technical titan and an endless source of emergent fun, it’s no wonder Grand Theft Auto V is one of the most successful games ever made. No game sells over 155 million copies by accident. – Luke Reilly (Read Our Review)
